    Student Referral Scholarship Program

"Recruit a Friend - Each Pay 1/2 Price!"

    Program Overview

Any current or new credit student who recruits a new credit student to Grace School of Theology may receive a 50% tuition discount for one course for that semester in which the new credit student first registers for a course. The new credit student also may receive a 50% discount for one course for that semester in which the new credit student first registers for a course.

    Program Rules

    1. The recruiting student and the recruited student must both pay 100% of their fees and discounted tuition before the course begins. If either student fails to do so, then both students lose the Student Referral Scholarship Program discount and must pay the full tuition rate.
    2. Discounted tuition payments under the Student Referral Scholarship Program are not refundable. The seminary's normal tuition refund policy does not apply to the Student Referral Scholarship Program.
    3. Both the recruiting student and the recruited student may still take advantage of the "Tuition Benefit for Spouses" program, if applicable.
    4. It is the intent of this program that students, as ambassadors of the seminary, reach out to their network of friends and acquaintances in order to recruit otherwise unreached potential students. It is contrary to the spirit and intent of this program to grant discounts where no recruiting in reality occurred.
    5. Both the recruiting student and the recruited student must pledge to do the course work and complete the course to which the discount is applied.
    6. The recruited student must have never before taken a course in any capacity from Grace School of Theology (f/k/a Houston Theological Seminary or the Institute for Theological Studies), whether for enrichment (audit) or for credit.
    7. The discount applies to tuition only, and both the recruited student and the recruiting student must pay any applicable fees.
    8. This program discount may not be combined with any other GRACE scholarship program.
    9. If a recruiting student recruits more than one new student in a semester, then the recruiting student may receive the discount for one course per recruited new student but only for that semester in which each new student first registers for a course. Alternatively, if the recruiting student registers for a number of courses which is less than the number of his/her recruited students, then the recruiting student may elect to apply the 50% tuition discount, successively, to the balance of tuition owed. For example, if a recruiting student takes only one course costing tuition of $300 and recruits two new students that semester, the recruiting student would pay (.5)(.5)($300)=$75 tuition for his/her one course.
    10. A recruited student may also recruit another new student and be eligible for a 50% tuition discount on the balance of tuition for one course or on an additional course.
    11. Only one person may receive a discount for any one new student.
    12. This program does not apply to enrichment students recruiting credit or enrichment students or to credit students recruiting enrichment students.
    13. This program is subject to change or cancellation at any time at the sole discretion of Grace School of Theology and without notice.
    14. The recruiting student and the recruited student must both pay 100% of their fees and discounted tuition before the course begins. If either student fails to do so, then both students lose the Student Referral Scholarship Program discount and must path the full tuition rate.
    15. Discounted tuition payments under the Student Referral Scholarship Program are not refundable. The seminary's normal tuition refund policy does not apply to the Student Referral Scholarship Program.
    16. Both the recruiting student and the recruited student may still take advantage of the "Tuition Benefit for Spouses" program, if applicable.
